About the project
The project aims to create an exceptionally successful, sustainable, and scalable initiative for digital education and training that will empower all young Europeans to embrace digital technologies and embark on highly rewarding careers in the digital sector. The idea is to redesign, renew, and relaunch EU Code Week, with a focus on significantly increasing the number of young people choosing digital careers and involving the entire digital skills ecosystem in a joint mission to reduce the digital skills gap in Europe.
Code4Europe will significantly expand EU Code Week with the goal of impacting 25 million young people over the next two years. A large consortium of 41 dedicated and experienced organizations (from 20 countries) in the field of digital education, led by Junior Achievement Europe, will unite the education and digital skills communities under a single, integrated program of the European Code Week. Together, we have joined forces to make a real difference in the lives of children and empower a new generation of young digital Europeans.
Our role
Within the Code4Europe project, Profil Klett is responsible for the development, enrichment, and maintenance of the EU Code Week Learning Materials – including adding new resources and continuously updating and improving existing content. We place a strong focus on digital technologies and skills (e.g., generative AI, sensors, robotics, drones) and on increasing the participation of girls and young women in STEM.
At the same time, Profil Klett also serves as a regional hub for the EU Code Week initiative in Croatia and Slovenia, supporting schools, educators, and partners in planning and delivering activities, while connecting stakeholders at national and regional level.
