The European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE), the Lifelong Learning Platform – European Civil Society for Education (LLLP), and the Schuman Associates Skills Coalition have received support and approval for their proposed Intergroup on ‘The Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe’
The European Parliament has officially established its first-ever Intergroup on the Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe. This initiative, aimed at addressing Europe’s transition to green and digital societies, will focus on improving the quality, equity, and inclusiveness of education and training systems across Europe in a holistic approach. Furthermore, it will tackle challenges such as skills shortages and the need for upskilling and reskilling.
We are proud to say that Profil Klett is a member of this initiative, joining nearly 100 MEPs and over 180 organizations committed to advancing lifelong learning.
With Europe working toward its 2030 social targets and navigating profound societal and economic shifts, the need for a strategic focus on education, skills, and training, of different levels of qualifications, has never been more urgent. The Intergroup seeks to ensure Europe is well-prepared for the future with a resilient and adaptable workforce. It will contribute to a more inclusive, innovative, resilient, competitive, and forward-looking Europe, prepared to lead in a rapidly changing world.
