EU Code Week Workshop: Introduction to Cyber Security for Students

untitled-presentation-43

As part of the EU Code Week campaign and with the aim of strengthening digital competencies among young people, we invite all teachers and students aged 11 to 14 to join a free virtual workshop on cyber security.

The workshop will be held in English on Thursday, 10 April 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, and will last for 45 minutes. The session will be led by Tech She Can educator Katie and is intended for primary school students who want to learn more about staying safe online, protecting personal data, and discovering careers in the field of information security.

The workshop is designed to be interactive and engaging. Students will participate in hands-on paper-based activities and pair discussions, so it is recommended that they are seated at a desk with a pen and paper.

After registering via a simple online form, participants will receive the access link. Teachers are also encouraged to register this workshop as their own activity on the codeweek.eu platform and thereby receive an official certificate of participation in this European initiative promoting digital skills. By participating in workshops like this, teachers promote digital literacy, raise awareness of internet safety, and help students better understand the digital world and the opportunities it offers.
