Promoting Digital Skills and Empowering Girls in STEM
Digital literacy and STEM skills are essential for success in today’s world. To ensure that everyone, regardless of age or gender, has access to knowledge and opportunities to participate in the digital economy, the EU Code Week and Girls in Digital initiatives have been launched. These initiatives provide a platform for education, collaboration, and inspiration and are open to students, teachers, businesses, and institutions alike.

What is EU Code Week?
EU Code Week is a European initiative that promotes coding and digital skills through organized activities in schools, libraries, technology centers, and other institutions. The goal is to enable as many people as possible to acquire basic or advanced programming knowledge and encourage creative use of technology.
Every year, thousands of teachers, educators, IT professionals, and enthusiasts organize various events, workshops, and hackathons that help students and the broader community get acquainted with coding and digital literacy fundamentals.

Why Participate?
Develop digital skills necessary for the future
Connect with the European community of educators and technology experts
Access free resources, tools, and educational materials
Anyone can participate – either as an event organizer or a workshop attendee.
All activities can be registered on the official Code Week platform, enabling the spread of knowledge and inspiration at an international level.

Girls in Digital – Empowering Girls in the Digital World
The gender gap in STEM and technology remains significant. Only 17% of IT professionals in Europe are women, and less than 30% of girls choose STEM fields for further education. Girls in Digital aims to change this through education, mentorship, and practical activities focused on empowering girls and young women in digital professions.

Goals of the Girls in Digital Initiative:
Encourage girls to engage in STEM through exciting and interactive activities
Provide mentorship with successful women from the technology sector
Organize free coding, digital design, AI, and other tech skill workshops
Reduce the gender gap in digital professions and ensure better representation of women in STEM

How Can You Get Involved?
If you are a teacher or educator, you can organize a workshop and register it on the Code Week platform
If you are a tech company, you can support the initiative through mentorship, donations, or partnerships
If you are a student or young professional, you can participate in free workshops and events
All activities can be registered on the official Code Week platform, enabling the spread of knowledge and inspiration at an international level.
