Digital4Sustainability Project Enters the Pilot Phase – Profil Klett Proudly Coordinating the Development of Learning Materials

14 pilots 12 partners 8 countries The Digital4Sustainability project is bringing its training materials into real learning enviroments to test, improve and scale them across Europe.

After nearly two years of intensive work, the Digital4Sustainability project has reached an exciting milestone: the launch of the pilot phase, during which the educational materials developed within the consortium will be tested with learners across Europe through 14 pilot programmes implemented by 12 project partners in 8 European countries.

Our Contribution: Coordination and Production of Educational Materials

As one of the key consortium partners, Profil Klett has taken on a coordinating role in the development of the educational materials that form the core of the project. The results of this work include:

  • more than 500 pages of manuals and written educational materials,
  • more than 20 presentations designed to support teaching and training activities,
  • more than 30 video materials intended for learners and trainers.

All materials were developed in close collaboration with partners from across Europe, with the aim of ensuring high quality, alignment with European standards, and applicability across different educational contexts.

Train the Trainer Programme: Preparing Trainers for the Pilot Phase

In addition to learner-focused educational materials, Profil Klett also coordinated the development of the Train the Trainer (TTT) programme – a structured support framework enabling trainers to understand, deliver, and assess the learning units developed within the Digital4Sustainability project.

The TTT programme consists of 7 modules and has been designed as a modular and adaptable resource that trainers can use according to their own needs, experience, and implementation context – regardless of their institutional background or prior teaching experience. The programme is self-paced and available as a set of reference materials, practical tools, and clear implementation guidelines.

Upon completion of the programme, trainers will be equipped to:

  • interpret learning units and plan outcome-oriented learning activities,
  • apply pedagogical approaches suitable for the field of digital sustainability,
  • document learners’ achievements in line with project standards.

As Europe accelerates its twin transition, the need for trainers capable of delivering high-quality education in the field of digital sustainability is rapidly growing. The TTT programme provides a clear, structured, and practical framework that equips trainers with everything they need for successful implementation.

Looking Ahead

The pilot phase now beginning represents a crucial step towards the project’s overall goal: developing high-quality training programmes that will contribute to Europe’s long-term digital and green transition. In the coming months, we will continue sharing insights from the pilot implementation and updates on progress towards the final phase of the project.
