On April 28 and 29, 2025, Profil Klett had the honour of hosting the Digital4Security consortium in Dubrovnik, for a two-day working meeting.
Held at the Centre for Advanced Academic Studies (CAAS), this event brought together project partners, work package leaders, and representatives of the European Commission to assess current progress and coordinate the next steps of the project.
The first day focused on strategic discussions regarding the structure and implementation of the Digital4Security Master’s programme. Various formats were examined, including microcredentials, a fully online 60 ECTS programme, and a 120 ECTS hybrid option. Particular attention was given to accreditation strategies, aiming to ensure recognition of diplomas and certificates across Europe.
A key moment of the meeting was the live demonstration of the Digital4Security platform, led by Matrix, showcasing its role as the backbone of the innovative learning environment. Additional sessions addressed collaboration with industry partners, long-term sustainability, and promotional strategies. The day concluded with final preparations for the official EU project review scheduled for the following day.
April 29 was dedicated to the project’s technical review and evaluation. After welcome remarks from all participants and a representative of the European Commission, Ciprian Dobre from POLITEHNICA Bucharest provided a technical overview, summarising achievements, current challenges, and future plans.
Work Package leaders presented progress updates on project coordination (WP1), curriculum development (WP2 and WP3), pilot activities and student engagement (WP4), communication and dissemination (WP5), and sustainability planning (WP6). These presentations reflected the consortium’s commitment to developing a high-quality, accredited cybersecurity Master’s programme to bridge Europe’s digital skills gap.
The meeting concluded with an interactive feedback session, policy alignment discussions, and practical guidance for the upcoming Periodic Report.
We are proud to have hosted this important meeting in Dubrovnik and to contribute to the success of the Digital4Security project.
